The through line

I started my professional career in 1995 and have spent the decades since then building and leading technology systems across industries. My work has included financial platforms, enterprise modernization, product engineering, large-scale delivery, data platforms, and AI-powered systems.

I have led India technology centers, product engineering groups, PMOs, platform modernization programs, and global delivery organizations with teams ranging from focused specialist groups to large organizations of up to 500 people.

Over time, one lesson has become very clear to me. Systems scale well only when their foundations are sound. Technology matters, but so do operating models, incentives, engineering culture, decision quality, and the inner state of the people leading the work.

Formative patterns

My father worked for the central government, so my childhood involved moving across cities and cultures in India. That nomadic rhythm taught me to observe quickly, adapt without drama, and become comfortable with starting again in unfamiliar environments.

I studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools, where co-curricular life, drawing, painting, outdoor games, and strong teachers shaped my curiosity. In 1986, one of those teachers introduced a small group of us to programming on a BBC Micro. That early encounter with computing became one of the quiet pivots of my life.

I later graduated from the University of Delhi, completed a programming diploma, and went on to study management with a focus on HR. The combination of software, organizations, and human behavior has stayed with me ever since.

Work at scale

Much of my professional work has involved turning complexity into operating rhythm. I have worked across MarTech, FinTech, InsurTech, HRTech, HealthTech, publishing technology, EdTech, telecom, and enterprise technology.

At SpecialChem, I have led India technology responsibilities across platform modernization, product engineering, AI initiatives, vendor strategy, annual IT roadmaps, and engineering capability buildout. This included re-platforming a large B2B specialty chemicals marketplace using MACH architecture.

Earlier roles included leading product incubation and implementation teams, building data science capability, running large delivery organizations with P&L accountability, establishing PMO governance, improving margins through automation and operating discipline, and working with global customers such as PwC, Target, Cisco, AT&T, Anthem, and Microsoft.

Inner work and coaching

Alongside my technology work, I have followed a long path into consciousness, healing, and human transformation. Meditation, Past Life Regression, healing practices, and Kriya Yoga have shaped how I understand attention, energy, memory, intuition, and the deeper layers of human behavior.

I have also explored coaching disciplines such as NLP and Transactional Analysis. They helped me see leadership as more than strategy and execution. Leadership is also communication, identity, belief systems, emotional patterns, and the quality of presence a person brings into a room.

This inner work is connected to my technology work. It affects how I think about complexity, how teams make decisions, how people change, and why clarity of mind becomes more important as systems become more powerful.

What I keep studying

I am drawn to conversations and research that connect human performance, health, identity, habits, neuroscience, leadership, investing, AI, and meaning. These subjects may look unrelated at first, but they often point to the same question: what helps people and systems make better choices over long periods of time?

This continuing study keeps my work grounded. It reminds me that technology is never just technology. It changes attention, behavior, incentives, organizations, markets, and the way people see themselves.

How I see leadership

I believe the next generation of leaders will need both technological depth and inner clarity. AI can amplify capability. It can also amplify confusion, weak architecture, poor incentives, and shallow thinking when the underlying system is not sound.

That is why my work is not just about tools or trends. I help leaders navigate complexity with sharper mental models, calmer judgment, stronger engineering foundations, and a better understanding of the human system inside every technology system.

For me, the professional and spiritual paths meet at the same point. Better systems require better awareness. Whether the system is an AI platform, an engineering organization, an investment thesis, or a human life, the quality of attention shapes the quality of the outcome.
