Consciousness
A lifelong inquiry into consciousness, healing, and inner clarity.
My journey into consciousness began as a personal inquiry into soul, death, reincarnation, energy, meditation, and the deeper intelligence that shapes human life.
The inquiry began early
In the early 1990s, during college, I read You Cannot Die: The Incredible Findings of a Century of Research on Death. That book opened a door for me. It started a fascinating journey into questions about the soul, death, reincarnation, memory, karma, and continuity beyond the physical body.
What began as curiosity slowly became a long personal study. I wanted to understand not only ideas about consciousness, but also the practices, disciplines, and inner experiences through which people transform themselves.
Healing as a field of study
Over the years, I studied several modalities of energy healing through multiple spiritual schools. These included pranic healing, crystal healing, cellular healing, sound healing, generational healing, and other approaches to energy, intention, balance, and transformation.
I see these practices as ways of working with subtle systems. They invite attention to patterns that are not always visible on the surface: emotional residue, inherited conditioning, energy blocks, memory, belief, attention, and the relationship between body, mind, and awareness.
Meditation and practice
I have studied and practiced multiple meditation traditions and methods over the years, including practices associated with Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali, Sadhguru, OSHO, Dr. Newton Kondaveti, Dr. Lakshmi Newton, Paramhansa Yogananda, GMCKS, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and others.
Each path offered a different doorway: breath, awareness, silence, energy, devotion, self-inquiry, kriya, observation, healing, and service. The common thread has been the movement from mental noise toward clarity, presence, compassion, and steadier judgment.
Service during Covid
During the Covid period, I was fortunate to volunteer as a meditation teacher. It was a meaningful phase of service, because many people were dealing with fear, isolation, uncertainty, grief, and emotional exhaustion.
Teaching meditation during that time strengthened my belief that inner practices are not separate from practical life. A calmer mind can help people breathe better, choose better, relate better, and remain more available to themselves and others during difficult periods.
What this work includes
01Meditation
Breath, awareness, silence, kriya, observation, and practices that cultivate steadiness, presence, and inner clarity.
02Energy healing
Study of pranic, crystal, cellular, sound, generational, and other healing modalities across different spiritual schools.
03Soul and reincarnation
A long-running inquiry into death, continuity, karmic patterns, memory, soul evolution, and the nature of identity.
04Inner leadership
Applying self-awareness, emotional balance, compassion, and equanimity to decision-making, relationships, and leadership.
How I hold this work
I do not see consciousness work as an escape from the world. I see it as a way to meet the world with more clarity. It helps me observe my own reactions, notice patterns, listen more deeply, and separate signal from noise.
This connects naturally with my work in technology, leadership, and investing. Systems outside us and systems inside us both shape outcomes. The more conscious we become of attention, energy, motivation, fear, desire, and identity, the better we become at working with complexity.
Consciousness writing

The myth of the 8-hour block: Why modern sleep is a recent invention
For most of human history, "8 hours of uninterrupted sleep" didn't exist. If you find yourself waking up at 2:00 AM feeling wide awake, you aren’t broken - you’re likely experiencing a biological echo of your ancestors.
